Dropbox to Google Drive Migration Now Generally Available- The new data migration service now supports Dropbox business accounts, allowing admins to migrate users and team folders directly into Google Drive. With support for file permissions, delta updates, and detailed reporting, this update makes consolidating cloud storage into Workspace faster and more reliable than ever.

Enhanced Admin Controls for “Take Notes for Me” in Google Meet- Admins can now manage the “Take Notes for Me” AI feature at the organisational unit (OU) or group level. This gives IT teams granular control over which users can leverage Gemini to automatically capture meeting summaries and action items, ensuring AI adoption aligns with internal data privacy and compliance standards.

Expanded Datasets for the Google Workspace Audit Log API- Google has significantly enriched the Audit Log API, adding new datasets for Directory Sync, Data Migration, and Google Tasks. These enhancements allow admins to perform much deeper investigations and build more comprehensive security dashboards by capturing events that were previously difficult to track via API.

Granular Control Over Speech Translation in Google Meet- A new administrative toggle has been introduced to control "translated captions" independently of standard captions. This allows IT leads to manage the costs and usage of speech translation features while still ensuring that basic accessibility tools remain available to all users.

Structured Data Tables in NotebookLM- NotebookLM now has the ability to transform scattered sources, like meeting transcripts and project docs, into structured Data Tables. These tables can be exported directly to Google Sheets, effectively turning unstructured research into actionable data that admins and teams can use for planning and analysis.
