Expanded Audit Logs & Event Fields Google has expanded Workspace Audit Logs with new event fields and granular tracking directly within the Admin Console. Admins now have improved visibility into configuration changes and security events, making it easier to troubleshoot issues and maintain compliance without jumping between different reporting tools.

Gemini: From Conversation to Creation Users can now move beyond simple chat as Gemini can generate full Google Docs and Slides directly from a conversation prompt. This bridges the gap between brainstorming and document drafting, turning AI into a native creation engine within the Workspace ecosystem.

Workspace Intelligence with Admin Controls Google is leaning into predictive workflows with Workspace Intelligence, a suite that proactively surfaces relevant files and suggests actions. Crucially, this includes robust Admin Controls, allowing you to manage how these features are deployed at the OU or Group level.

New High-Fidelity Data Import Tool Google has launched a native Data Import tool to make migrations into Workspace faster, easier, and more accurate. By handling complex data structures with higher fidelity at no additional tool cost, it reduces the reliance on expensive third-party middleware.

Governance is the Key to Growth

Google’s April updates focus heavily on Intelligence and Data Mobility. While these tools drive innovation, they also create more "moving parts" for IT teams.
